Merry Christmas and Happy 2011 to you all!
Emma Krumbee’s is an American restaurant in the Howard Johnson’s hotel in Rib Mountain. It has good baked goods and breakfasts.
Not fancy, it’s a staple place to eat at anytime, but breakfast is perhaps the best there. With their homemade baked goods and yummy french toast, they make you feel right at home. Everything is reasonably priced.
Emma Krumbee’s, even with its strange name, is a good place to get a nice breakfast or lunch and have a nice talk with family or friends.
It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day for the Harvest Fest in Wausau, WI. The event was rescheduled from 2 weeks ago when Oak Island was flooded, but despite that, everyone was in great spirits and enjoyed themselves completely.
Thanks to Ministry Healthcare; they generously hosted a Pumpkin Patch for the children, who each got to pick out a free pumpkin to take home.
The 2-horse wagon ride was a main attraction. The horses were gentle and calm, and many children petted them in awe between rides.
The free scarecrow-building event also attracted quite a few families. The kids especially had fun making the large creature with their Moms and Dads.
Oak Island Park lent itself to the day, as it always does, with its large play area and no lack of leaves to jump, kick, and run in. The water was beautiful, calm, and glistening, and many took the chance to stroll its banks.
The Harvest Fest reminded us of the goodness of Wausau and its people, and the beauty of Oak Island itself. We will come back soon to see the park in all its Fall glory, because every day there is a pleasure.
